Have you ever felt as though you were sleepwalking through life?

I wrote SHAPES IN THE DARK during the COVID Lockdowns in Victoria Australia.

A time when I couldn’t sleep and I wasn’t really awake.

I became interested in exploring unique time signatures and  came up with a 3/4 -4/4 idea

and began writing a keys line on the Rhodes. I love the gentleness of its sound. The rest of the song just fell in to place and although it just a 3 minute song I feel like it floats in like a dream...... and dissolves into a soft memory.
